Southside Café starts-up with Lincat

When a new catering establishment was required at Lincolnshire County Council’s Oak House business start-up centre, it seemed fitting for it to be a start-up café. As an experienced caterer who had always worked for others, Mary Haitt was pleased to have the opportunity to develop her own start-up business at the centre – Southside Café.

Working alongside council project manager, Lewis Mason, Mary took on the task of fitting out her new business with catering equipment. Having determined exactly what was required, she sent a specification list out to tender. The tender was won by one of our distributors – CRS Business Systems of Grimsby & Lincoln. Martin Swannick, from CRS, suggested our products would fit the bill exactly and we are proud to have supplied Southside Café with an oven, a boiling top, a griddle, a commercial deep fryer and a bain maire from our Silverlink 600 range of medium duty prime cooking equipment. We also provided a heated food display showcase from our Seal range, a Lynx 400 counter top panini grill and a FilterFlow automatic-fill water boiler with built-in filtration.

The result is a flexible kitchen capable of catering for several different types of clientele, from working lunches to outside catering. We are delighted to hear that Mary and Lewis are pleased with the new kitchen and that Southside Café is going from strength to strength. So much so that Mary is considering evening opening in the future! We wish her the very best with her business.
